Citation :"I'll give you a dog I was given in Ireland. He is huge and worth a strong warrior. Moreover, it is the nature of the breed to have a human intelligence, and he will bark at your enemies but never at your friends. He will know at a glance whether a man is well or ill disposed towards his master. And for you, he will give his life without hesitation.
Excerpt from the Icelandic saga of Njall-the-brown -
Medieval period

"Dare Dare", Quick Analysis of a Work of Art:

Laurence Saunois did not know this breed of dog when her client asked her to come and do a photo shoot for a painting. What a surprise when she discovered this dog, out of the ordinary by its size! A very sweet and affectionate dog.

"When I first saw Bo, I recoiled. His owner had warned me that his dog was big, but I wasn't expecting this much. Bo walked up to me and licked my face. The introductions were made. I was seduced. His kindness was obviously proportional to his size." LS

The Irish wolfhound, the largest dog in the world

Like all large dogs, he is not to be put in all hands. He has a strong character but has a heart of gold. A soft but firm education must be granted to him. Without it, he could be dangerous. He is very attached to his masters who must reserve him a privileged place in the house. Indeed, it supports very badly to remain alone. Moreover, it must be the object of a particular attention to avoid possible health problems: fulgurating growth of the pup, articular and osseous problems and of course torsion of the stomach.

Discover the breed:

The Irish Wolfhound is the most hardy and largest of the sighthounds. The Irish Wolfhound was historically used to hunt wolves and deer until the 17th century, before becoming mainly a companion dog. It is, along with the Great Dane, the largest dog breed in the world. Source: Wikipedia

It is a very old breed of dog. The Celtic Gaels brought it to Ireland between 2500 and 1500 BC. In ancient Rome, he bravely faced the wild beasts in the arenas. In the Middle Ages, he chased wolves and bears. His reputation was ahead of his time and he soon colonized a good part of Europe. But over the centuries, less and less used, it was threatened with extinction. An enthusiast saved the breed in the 19th century. Since 1902, the Irish Guards have made it their mascot.

At first, you can send her photos and she will tell you which one she thinks is the best to make a painting. Some elements can be modified, others added to give the best possible result.
  • Can I order a painting even if I don't live in the same area as the artist? Of course you can. Thanks to the Internet and the telephone, everything can be done remotely.

  • Can I pay in installments? Yes, you can pay for your order in installments. In principle, the payment is made in two steps with a deposit of 30% at the time of the order and the balance when the painting is finished. But, you can also, if you wish, pay in 4 times with Paypal where a payment in 4 times is possible (see the terms)

  • How long does it take to complete an oil painting? The realization of an oil painting requires time. A time for the realization in several thin layers of paint. A time for the paint to dry well and a time for the varnish to dry thoroughly. This can take several months. This technical constraint is absolutely necessary. It cannot be ignored. The deadlines also take into account the orders in progress. In principle, the artist works on several paintings at the same time. She works on one while waiting for another to dry. As you can see, becoming the proud owner of a painting requires patience.
