"Dare Dare", Quick Analysis of a Work of Art:

"I have always loved snails. One of my childhood memories is to go with my grandmother to look for small grey snails with a small basket. Not to eat them, but just for the pleasure of searching, finding, discovering, seeing and observing. A total discovery of nature just thanks to a small animal often unloved.
When I discovered, in my garden, after a rain, this small snail of hedges (Cepaea nemoralis) which advanced on a leaf of peach tree and which played the balancing act by stretching itself towards the water which formed a small puddle, I could not resist the desire to carry out a painting of this small jewel of the nature.
The scene exuded a kind of purity and elegance. In order to recreate this atmosphere as well as possible, I made my oil painting on a very smooth plate. This allowed me to get the desired result. It took me many layers to achieve the final result." Laurence Saunois

This painting was exhibited at the "Masterworks Tour" organized by the International Guild of Realism. And it received an award at the Art Renewal Center's international competition.
This painting is available for sale as well as limited edition art prints and reproductions on the artist's online store.
