LECTURES

This section gathers lectures and presentations by curators and art historians host during my exhibitions.
Through their various perspectives, these talks explore the genesis of my painting series, Nympheus Luminansis, Water Lilies of Light, the study of light, and the connections between my work and the history of Impressionist painting and its legacy.
Claude Monet and His Enduring Impact on Modern Art, by Dr. Maggie Crosland

HANCEVILLE, Ala. — July, 2026
On the occasion of the exhibition Nympheus Luminansis, Water Lilies of Light presented at The Evelyn Burrow Museum (Hanceville, Alabama), a special virtual lecture was dedicated to Claude Monet and his enduring legacy.
Hosted by Dr. Maggie Crosland, Curator of European Art at the Birmingham Museum of Art, this presentation enriched the perspective on the exhibition by weaving connections between the Impressionist master and contemporary creation. Drawing on research for the Monet to Matisse exhibition, Dr. Crosland explored the genesis of the famous Water Lilies series and the study of light, offering valuable insights into how Monet's work continues to inspire and resonate within my own pictorial exploration.
